Hillcrest Golf Club at Sun City West has a traditional, all-grass layout. This challenging golf course features numerous doglegs, water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers but there are player-friendly fairways and few blind shots to make the inviting to players of all skill levels. Although the fairways are generous, they are lined with trees and despite the relatively flat terrain, the greens have severe slopes that make them difficult to read. Hillcrest Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 13th, which features a dogleg around a lake and requires an uphill approach shot to a well protected green.

Most of the bunkers are hard as cement with 1" rocks scattered throughout. It's really a shame. They're allegedly working on the cart path (asphalt and completely crumbling; major potholes all over the place)
The layout of the course is pretty good. There's water features abound. However, for any price, as the course is, I'll never play here again. It's just plain dismal.
