Brief biography 

Jeff Weaver is the Director of Bands, Orchestra and Jazz Studies at Oak Bay High School. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Victoria and a Master of Arts from Sam Houston State University. Jeff is a recipient of the Premiers Award for Teaching Excellence in British Columbia. He is the Vice President of the Canadian Music Educators' Association and past President of the British Columbia Music Educators' Association. As a public school educator for the last 20 years, Jeff is committed to providing relevant, culturally aware music education to his students. With a deep belief in the abilities of young people and the power of music education, Jeff believes that all students have the capacity to make music and that schools are complete with strong fine arts performance programs.​
